Common questions
How long does exterior paint last in Tacoma?
Done right, eight to twelve years on siding and five to eight on trim and south-facing walls. Skipping prep or using a builder-grade paint cuts that roughly in half. Yearly gutter cleaning and a wash every couple of years extend it.
What time of year can you paint exteriors here?
Reliably from late April into October. Modern paints cure down to about 35°F, so we can paint dry weeks in shoulder months, but we won't paint into rain or heavy dew. If your job runs into weather we pause rather than push.

Both, and they need different products. Cedar wants a breathable acrylic and careful priming of tannin-prone areas; fiber cement takes a 100% acrylic and lasts longest of any siding we paint.
